O-Level

GCE O Level is one of the most recognized qualifications around the world. O Level is a high profile qualification. O Level courses are renowned for developing vital educational skills, including the recall of knowledge, problem solving, decision making, evaluation and investigative skills, the resulting qualification provides a foundation for higher level courses, such as A and AS Levels.

O Levels are usually taught as a two years course for students aged 14 to 17 years, but can be taken at any age.

A-Level

International A Level is a ‘gold standard’ qualification. GCE A Level is one of the most recognized qualifications around the world. A Level has been accepted as proof of academic ability for entry to universities and institutes of higher education.
A levels examination is usually taken at age 17. It courses usually takes 2 years to complete and exams are taken at the end of that period.

Spoken English preparatory classes

Pace Academy realizes that English Language is a key factor for education abroad. Pace is providing opportunity for students to improve their English language skills by arranging individual as well as group sessions of IELTS, TOEFL and Spoken English. Pace has trained & qualified staff for teaching English language courses for students of various need levels.

IELTS

An IELTS test is made up of four modules. All candidates take the same Listening and Speaking Modules. There is a choice of Reading and Writing Modules depending on whether you are an ACADEMIC or GENERAL TRAINING candidate.
The modules are normally taken in this order- Listening, Reading, Writing, And Speaking- and are timed as follows:

Listening approximately 30 minutes

Reading 60 minutes
Writing 60 minutes
Speaking 11-14 minutes

TOEFL

The Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) is designed to evaluate the English proficiency of people whose native language is not English. TOEFL scores are required for admissions purposes by more than 2400 colleges and universities in the United States, Canada and eighty other countries. The Test consists of four sections: Listening, Structure, Reading, and Writing. Two sections, Listening and Structure, are computer-adaptive, The Listening and Reading sections feature some new, innovative types of questions in addition to traditional MCQs. The Writing section, which assesses the ability to compose a written response to an assigned essay topic, is now a required part of the test.

What skills does the General Test measure?

Analytical Writing

• articulate complex ideas clearly and effectively
• examine claims and accompanying evidence
• support ideas with relevant reasons and examples
• sustain a well-focused, coherent discussion
• control the elements of standard written English (this factor plays a role only to the extent that poor writing skills impede readers' understanding of the argument)

Verbal

• analyze and evaluate written material and synthesize information obtained from it
• analyze relationships among component parts of sentences
• recognize relationships between words and concepts

Quantitative

• understand basic concepts of arithmetic, algebra, geometry, and data analysis
• reason quantitatively
• solve problems in a quantitative setting
  

GMAT

The GMAT is a test of general skills and abilities that you have acquired over time. Do your best by understanding the format and content of the test.

The Graduate Management Admission Test® (GMAT®) is a standardized assessment—delivered in English—that helps business schools assess the qualifications of applicants for advanced study in business and management. Schools use the test as one predictor of academic performance in an MBA or in other graduate management programs.

What the GMAT Measures

The GMAT® measures basic verbal, mathematical, and analytical writing skills that you have developed over a long period of time in your education and work. It does NOT measure:

• your knowledge of business
• your job skills
• specific content in your undergraduate or first university course work
• your abilities in any other specific subject area
• subjective qualities—such as motivation, creativity, and interpersonal skills
